Artist's Statement
My work is influenced by family genealogy, responses to the physical world, personal documents, as well as found and handmade objects. These sources have inspired a series of fragmented images that address a glimpse into self-reflection and recollection. Wood panels and paper support, charcoal, pencil, paint, transferred images, collage and wax. The layered surfaces veil and obscure what is beneath the surface, hidden experiences that elicit the viewer to explore.
" everything of which I know, but of which I am not at the moment thinking; everything of which I was once conscious but have now forgotten..." Jung "[1]
