Dancin' Ray is a footballer for Cobh Ramblers in the Republic of Ireland's FAI Premier Division.

Youths and Schoolboy success

Ray played locally with Kilreen Celtic and College Corinthians before linking up with City. Ray previously skippered City's successful Youths side before moving up to the U21s as a left sided winger and full back. He has attracted cross-channel interest from Wimbledon, Nottingham Forest and Bolton Wanderers. He also plays as a forward and scores regularly for his college, C.I.T.

Trivia

*Ray scored his first goal for Cork City, the final goal in a 4-0 eircom League victory against Dublin City. The entire game was nullified a few weeks later as Dublin City withdrew from the league under financial stress and Lally's goal was stricken from the record, meaning officially he had once again never scored for Cork City's senior side.
*He rectified this on 20th March 2007 against Portadown, scoring in the Setanta Cup. This goal was also the final goal in a 4-0 victory. Lally's "league" total however remains at zero.
