Bonamici is a graduate of theUniversity of Oregon and theUniversity of Oregon School of Law . Before entering the Legislature, she was an attorney with theFederal Trade Commission inWashington, D.C. and with a law firm in Portland. She is married to prominent Portland attorney Michael Simon.
