Bommanahal is Mandal head quarters and is one of the most peaceful place to live in Anantapur district.People here are mainly dependent on agriculture and the lands around this village are very fertile,has good water facility and best suitable for Cotton,Chilli and Paddy.

Along with Ariculture,this village has good English and telugu medium schools,it has intermediete college and degree(BA,BCom and BSc) college.

Adjucent to this village,there is Sathavahana Ispat steel factory,which provides employment to near about 2000 people.

Close to Bommanahal, there is a temple at Nemakallu village. during the month of sravana, peoplevisit this hanuman temple along with Kasapuram and Muridi. all the three temples will be covered in one day as a piligrimage by locals.

Near by Bommanahal, there is another temple called "Katte Basaveshwara temple" at Etthina Boodihal village. Hundreds of people visit and offer prayers to lord "Katte Basaveshwara" every Monday and Thousands of people visit this place every year for "Rathothsavam".
