Lawrence Dial (born in Rochester,
New York ) is a playwright living in New York. His play "Old Kid Cod" was performed at The American Theatre of Actors in late June 2007. Indiana , with his brother, lawyer Beau Dial, and, twin sisters, college students Mary and Charlotte. He graduated from the University ofEvansville , where he met long-time collaborator and actressKelli Giddish (All My Children , The Burg).His plays include: "Slight Rebellion of Madison (again), The Word "Amazing" Comes To Mind, Fish Have No Eyelids, Kings Wait In Time; Aces Take Their Pick, Arts Fucking Crafts, The Fort, and A Horse and Duck."
His newest play HOLLOW LOG is scheduled to open January 15, 2009 at The View Theater.
His plays often involve the use of slang, jargon, or invented language.
