Ter Hachatrjan

(Russian Тер Хачатрян) is the name of a Russian noble family, from 18 century. Duke Aleksandr Ter Hachatrjan (Alexandroupoli, around 1870, - Saint Petersburg, 1917). Duke Aleksandr was born as an Armenian aristocrat, who belonged to the Russian nobility. He was married to Greek duchess Sofia. From this matrimony he had two sons:

*Duke Anton Aleksandrovich (around 1891, - Rostov on Don, 1950)
*Duke Bagrat Aleksandrovich (1892, - Kafan, 1981)

During the revolution in Petrograd in the year 1917, duke Aleksandr and his wife duchess Sofia were killed by the Bolsheviks. Children of the family Ter Hachatrjan escaped from Petrograd to far Caucasus.Youngest son of duke Aleksandr duke Bagrat Aleksandrovich lost his older brother duke Anton Alekjsandrovich.

As known, Duke Anton Aleksandrovich appeared in the city Rostov on Don. He was married to Barinova Elena Aleksandrovna. They had no children.

In the year 1932, Duke Bagrat Aleksandrovich got married to Petrachuk Olga Alekseevna, UkrainePols panna, daughter of merchant.Daughters from this matrimony:

*Duchess (1933)
*Duchess Inessa Bagratovna (1936)

Family Ter Hachatrjan felt under the repression of NKVD in 1937. Ter Hachatrjan were arrested and set in jail. Under the pressure of local government, Duke Bagrat Aleksandrovich had to take a distance from his hereditary title and all his possessions that were brought from Petrograd. Family Ter Hachatrjan felt under the amnesty.

Ter Hachatrjan Amalia Bagratovna got married to Saidoff N.S rich man from Baku. From this matrimony they had two children:

*Saidoff A.N (1961)
*Saidoff S.C.N (1963)

Since this time all the descendants of a noble family Ter Hachatrjan, are named as Saidoff – Ter Hachatrjan.

*Nargiz Victoria (1990)
*Eldar A. (1990)

Nowadays the descendants of the family are living in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
