Pico-ITX is a PC
motherboard form factor announced byVIA Technologies in January 2007 and demonstrated later the same year atCeBIT . The Pico-ITX form factor specifications call the board to be 10 x 7.2 cm (3.9 in x 2.8 in), which is half the area ofNano-ITX . The processor can be aVIA C7 or aVIA Eden V4 that uses VIA's NanoBGA2 technology for speeds up to 1.5 GHz, with 128KB L1 & L2 caches. It usesDDR2 400/533SO-DIMM memory, with support for up to 1GB. Video is supplied viaAGP by VIA'sUniChrome Pro IIGPU with built-inMPEG-2 , 4, andWMV9 decoding acceleration. TheBIOS is a 4 or 8Mbit Award BIOS. The first motherboard in this form factor is called EPIA PX10000G. It is 10 x 7.2 cm and 10 layers deep. The operating temperature range is from 0
°C to about 50°C. The operating humidity level (relative and non-condensing) can be from 0% to about 95%. It uses a 1 GHz VIA C7 processor, a VIA VX700 chip set, and isRoHS compliant.
