Antonio Silva (born September 14 , 1979) is a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter. He initially fought in the super heavyweight division, but currently competes in the heavyweight weight class.

Biography

Silva's most recent fight was at Elite XC where he defeated Ricco Rodriguez by split decision on 2/16/08. He has competed in organizations such as HERO'S, BodogFight and Elite Xtreme Combat.-

EliteXC Heavyweight Title

On July 26, 2008 Silva won the EliteXC Heavyweight title with a second round TKO over former UFC veteran Justin Eilers. Silva later tested positive after the fight with Eilers for the anabolic steroid Boldenone, was suspended for 1 year, and fined $2500.00 by the California State Athletic Commission.cite web
