Bates , which was made into a miniseries starringCatherine Zeta-Jones in the role that Debbie Reynolds plays in the 1959 film. Set mostly in rural Maryland, the film features some physical comedy and a funny scene in which Lorenzo (Tony Randall) becomes intoxicated and attempts to sing aCole Porter song. Reynolds sings the title song during the opening credits. The film features the final screen appearance by actor Paul Douglas. Although the film has been featured onTurner Classic Movies , it has yet to be released on home video.Plot summary
