- Edward J. Normand
Edward J. Normand is a prominent lawyer known for representing
Lloyd's of London in the dispute over the extent that its insurance covered theSeptember 11th attacks on theWorld Trade Center . He grew up in Windham,New Hampshire and attended thePinkerton Academy in Derry. In 1992, Normand graduated from theCollege of William and Mary magna cum laude andPhi Beta Kappa . He then clerked forMarjorie O. Rendell on theUnited States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania andJoseph M. McLaughlin on theUnited States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit . In 1995, he received a J.D. from theUniversity of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review. He served as assistant to the Special Master to theUnited States Supreme Court for the controversy regarding thestate sovereignty ofEllis Island .
