DBE , JP (1873 – 1948) was a British social reformer and London politician.Born as Beatrix Margaret Rostron, she was a pillar of the
London County Council , and served as Vice-Chairman from 1932 - 1933. She was the first woman Vice-Chairman, and one of the few.During
World War I she wrote a leaflet called "Our Duty in War-Time. Appeal to the Women and Girls of Great Britain and Ireland", which was published by the Central Committee, 62 Charing Cross, London.External links
