Sleez is an alien from the fictional planet of
Apokolips . There he originally served as the companion of young Prince Uxas (Darkseid ) the future ruler of Apokolips. Uxas banished Sleez to earth after he grew tired of his depravities, and the creature took up residence in the city of Metropolis. There he ekes out a living in the sewers ofSuicide Slum . He ran afoul ofSuperman on several occasions, including attempting to produce apornographic film starring a psionically dominated Superman andBig Barda . ["Action Comics " #593] Sleez kidnaps children in an amusement park serving as a front forIntergang but later seemingly died in an explosion. ["Adventures of Superman" #475] In the 2007 series "Countdown", Sleez appears again in Suicide Slum but is killed by an unknown entity (later revealed to beInfinity-Man ) while attempting to tellJimmy Olsen the secret to killing Darkseid.
