WIL WHEATON dot NET (WWDN), also known as wilwheaton.net, is a weblog run by writer, actor and former child star Wil Wheaton. In the site, Wheaton writes stories and anecdotes about things that happen in his day-to-day life. His writings on WWDN have led to a book, "Dancing Barefoot" (ISBN 0-9741160-0-9), with a three-book deal from O'Reilly promising another edition of "Dancing Barefoot" (ISBN 0-596-00674-8) and two additional books to follow. "Just a Geek" (ISBN 0-596-00768-X) was released June 2004.

Between 2001 and fall 2004, Wil operated a message board, known as "The Soapbox" or "Paracosm", as part of the blog site. Rather than just a fan forum, it was a place where people could gather to talk about various subjects including movies, music, books, religion, politics, gaming, geocaching, and miscellaneous topics; the original emphasis was on topics of interest to Wil Wheaton and not the man himself. Over 10,500 people joined the Soapbox community; however a December 2003 purge of inactive accounts dropped that number to about 2,500 active members, of which about 400 were regular daily visitors at the time of closing. The Soapbox users, who had become a rather close-knit community, eventually set up an independent message board, at [http://www.tehsoapbox.net/ tehsoapbox.net] (sic). Community members collaborate on many projects for charity: In 2002, the community raised over $17,000 for breast cancer research, and in the spring of 2004 raised over $27,000 to sponsor Wil and his wife Anne on a 26-mile walk to help fund leukemia research. Community members continue to share a community MoBlog. Two collections of writings taken from postings to the message board have been published, titled "Boxer Shorts" (ISBN 1-932461-00-0) and "'Boxer Shorts Redux" (ISBN 1-932461-03-5).

Wheaton also maintains a photo gallery, a MoBlog, and an AudioBlog.

In late September 2005, Wheaton experienced major database problems and relocated his blog to a website called "Wil Wheaton dot Net in Exile", where it has remained to date as a backup.

Wil Wheaton is not affiliated with the websites wilwheaton.org and wilwheaton.com, which are held by an internet troll and domain name squatters, respectively.
