Fakir Abdul Raheem Garhori ( _sd. فقیر عبد الرحيم) was a great saint and poet of Indian subcontinent. Faqir Abdul Raheem Garhori blonged to Mangrio tribe and his father's name was Sadullah Mangrio.

Early years

In 1739A.D. (1152 A.H.), Garhori was born in Ranipur, Khayrpur, Sindh (now in Pakistan). Shaikh Fakir Abdul Raheem Garhori was the caliph of Sultan-ul-Auliya Khuwaja Mohammad Zamman Lanwari Sharif. He was a great commander who fought against the Sikhs in those areas and defeated them everywhere. He was considered a Shaheed at age 40 in 1192 A.H. The father of Abdul Raheem Garhori was dead before this occurrence but his mother remained alive till his Shahdat.

Garhori Sahab had five marriages and had four daughters and one son who died when he was five years old. In Garhor there is a shrine devoted to Abdul Raheem Garhori .
Recently Dr. N. A Baloch reearched that the Grohirri Sahab was born in village "Warr", Taluka Khipro, Dist Sanghar

Poetry

He wrote many poetry books, he was great Arabic, persion and sindhi poet of that era. His poetry is famous now a days. His book of poetry entitled Abdul Raheem Grohiri Jo Kalam is available in market.

Prophecies

He also made many predictions. Some people say that Talpurs got power by the prediction of Garhori Sahab. Almost all his predictions are in poetic form in a poem known as Peshgoee or Peshingoee of Makhdoom Abdur Raheem Girhori, and most of them are regionally famous.

Abdul Raheem Garhori was a great scholar. He wrote many books but many of these books were stolen and destroyed in the era of Madad Khan Pathan. However, some of his books are available today::1.
