Brent Hughes (born April 5, 1966, in New Westminster, British Columbia) is a former ice hockey left winger. He played in the National Hockey League for the Winnipeg Jets, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Islanders. He currently is the head coach of the Austin Ice Bats of the Central Hockey League. [http://www.icebats.com/players/brenthughes.htm]
In his NHL career, Hughes played in 357 games, scoring 41 goals and 39 assists.
His son is currently playing junior hockey in Canada, with the Burnaby Express of the BCHL. A D-Man at 6'0 tall and 190 pounds he is right-handed and an offensive D-Man
