Anthony 'Tony' Thomas (born July 12, 1971) is a former defender who spent most of his career playing for Tranmere Rovers.

Career

Tony began his career as a 15 year old playing in the Tranmere Rovers Reserves', and quickly advanced through the ranks, at such a young age he was attracting attention from the bigger clubs but decided to stay with his home team. He would later transfer after 11 years at the club to one of the clubs oldest rivals, Everton. After completing a £400,000 move to Everton he found himself pretty much playing in the reserve's and only appearing of the bench, this one season was his one and only in the English league's top division. He was later sold to Motherwell for £150,000 and then retired due to injury in the year 2001.
