William Aulton Kennedy (March 14, 1921 - April 9, 1983) born in Carnesville, Georgia was a Pitcher for the Cleveland Indians (1948), St. Louis Browns (1948-51), Chicago White Sox (1952), Boston Red Sox (1953) and Cincinnati Redlegs (1956-57).

He debuted in the majors with the 1948 Indians. They traded him to the Browns for pitcher Sam Zoldak that season and went on to win the World Series.

He led the American League in Games (47) in 1952.

In 8 seasons he had a 15-28 Win-Loss record, 172 Games (45 Started), 6 Complete Games, 61 Games Finished, 11 Saves, 464 ⅔ Innings Pitched, 497 Hits Allowed, 284 Runs Allowed, 244 Earned Runs Allowed, 34 Home Runs Allowed, 289 Walks Allowed, 256 Strikeouts, 12 Hit Batsmen, 13 Wild Pitches, 2145 Batters Faced and a 4.73 ERA.

He died in Seattle, Washington at the age of 62.
