Alfred Hutton (1839–1910) was a Victorian officer of the
King's Dragoon Guards , antiquarian and swordsman. He originated the first English revival ofhistorical fencing , together with his contemporariesEgerton Castle , CaptainCarl Thimm , ColonelCyril Matthey , Sir Frederick andWilliam Pollock , and Captain SirRichard Francis Burton .Works
