Background

General Lorber graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1964. He flew as a fast-moving forward air controller in Vietnam, has commanded a fighter squadron and wing, and is a command pilot with more than 5,000 flying hours, primarily in fighter aircraft. He retired from active duty on September 1, 1997.
