Tilden Middle School is located at 11211 Old Georgetown Road in Rockville, Maryland and is part of Montgomery County Public Schools. The principal is Mrs. Baker. The assistant principals are Mr. Leaman and Mr. Easton. The school's mascot is the Tilden Timberwolf and its newspaper is "The Tilden Howl".

Tilden was once called Charles Woodward High School, but the name was changed after Montgomery County Public Schools decided to create North Bethesda Middle School, which reduced Tilden's student population below high school standards.

Tilden Middle School is well known for its musical program, including orchestra, band and chorus. The Chorus and Advanced Band won first place at regional competitions and Advanced Orchestra took second during the 2006–2007 school year.Their Boy's Soccer team finished with a record of 2-4 while the Girl's Soccer team finished 1-5. They are also known as the only school in the county to have a journalism program.

Former principals include Karen Rabin.
