Mount Skarshovden

Mount Skarshovden (coord|71|47|S|11|38|E|) is a rounded mountain, 2,830 m, surmounting the west side of Hovdeskar Gap in the Humboldt Mountains of Queen Maud Land. It was discovered and photographed by the German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39, mapped by Norway from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956-60, and named Skarshovden ("the gap mountain").
