Mount Bower (72°37′S 160°30′E / 72.617°S 160.5°E) is a prominent mountain, 2,610 metres (8,560 ft) high, standing 6 miles (10 km) east-northeast of Roberts Butte in the Outback Nunataks. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and from U.S. Navy air photos, 1959–64, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for John R. Bower, ionospheric physicist at South Pole Station, 1968.
