Johnny RogersMark Cavarzan Martin Victor Brighton Rock is a
Canadian glam metal band who made major waves in their home country during the 1980s. Their sound is similar to that of British-American rock act Foreigner. Brighton Rock took their name from a book of the same nameFact|date=April 2007.Formed in Niagara Falls by guitarist
Greg Fraser and bassistStevie Skreebs in 1982, the band also included vocalistGerry McGhee , keyboardistMartin Victor and drummerMark Cavarzan . After their song "Breaking Down the Barricade" was selected for CILQ's "Q107 Homegrown" album in 1984, they independently released a self-titled EP the following year. They subsequently signed to WEA Records for their full-length debut, "
Young, Wild and Free ", in 1986, adding Johnny Rogers on keyboards. That album spawned the Canadian hit singles "We Came to Rock" and "Can't Wait for the Night". The band followed up with "Take a Deep Breath" in 1988, and "Love Machine" in 1991, before breaking up after the tour to support "Love Machine".The band regrouped for a reunion tour in 2002, releasing the live album "A Room for Five Live" that year.
In 2006 a Greatest Hits Package was released titled "The Essentials".
Fraser and Skreebs released a new project known as
