Ron van den Beuken (born October 4, 1970) is a Dutch DJ and record producer.
Van den Beuken started making
dance music in 2000. Educated at theConservatorium of Maastricht and a law graduate fromMaastrict University , he became involved in the dance music scene by co-incidence. His first record, "Feel It", became a club hit which reached the top of the Dutch music chart and stayed there for several weeks. His follow-up track, "Keep it Up", became a top-ten hit inScandinavia .After this initial success, Van den Beuken ventured into different projects, including his first
trance production called "Shane, 'Cest Muzique"'. He produced "The Mystery", which was highly-rated by DJsDave Pearce (BBC Radio 1) andJohan Gielen . "The Mystery" has since been released in countries all over the world, includingSpain ,South Africa ,Australia ,The Netherlands ,Canada ,Israel andJapan , with club licensing deals worldwide and reaching the top 75 in the UK. Ron's next track, "Devotion ("All I ever wanted")", also reached the top 75 in the UK and was supported by DJs such asPaul van Dijk ,Armin van Buuren ,Johan Gielen ,Blank & Jones , andJudge Jules .In 2003 Van den Beuken introduced the track "Clokx", covering the track Clocks from
Coldplay which reached the top of several dance-charts around the world, and entered the Dutch top 100Sales Chart . His record "Timeless" followed soon after, and is recognised as the Ron van den Beuken's breakthrough track. "Timeless" was a top dance smash atRadio538 and a floorfiller atRadio3 , and stayed in the Dutch top-100 for 17 weeks.Next came the record "Overdrive" which was supported by several DJs including
Tiesto ,Marco V andArmin , also reaching number one in many dance-charts and became his first Top-40 cross-over hit, on rotation at Radio538 for 21 weeks. Van den Beuken also produced "Twister" in collaboration withSander van Doorn (Mr Sam Sharp), and a Remix for the well knownRandy Katana hit, "In Silence".Van den Beuken's next record, "Endless", topped the dance-charts and reached the top-100 in the Dutch sales-charts, and had a video shot at a big festival in Poland. This was followed by "Feelings", produced with Clokx, which also reached the top-100 sales charts.
Soon after Clokx, Ron produced the track "Sunset". This one again was Dance-smash at Radio538 (5). The track reached the number 22 position in the official Sales charts, which is the highest position for Ron till now, and also his biggest hit so far :)
Lately Ron produced a new track for the Clokx project, called "Tibet". It reached the top50 sales charts, and was Grandslam on Radio ID&T Holland. Also it was record of the week on Radio Sunshinelive Germany. After his latest remix for Ferry Corsten "Fire" new remixes will be coming out soon for Fragma, and Blank&Jones.
His song "Tibet", released in October 2005 spent several weeks at the top of the charts in Holland.
After Tibet, Ron van den Beuken released "Find a Way" and also the remake of "Mary go Wild". Both tracks entered the sales charts and were big hits. Again both tracks became nr.1 in the official dance-trends TOP-30!!!
Also Ron van den Beuken released the remake of Mary go Wild from
Grooveyard , again number 1 in the Dance-charts and a commercial hit. After this he start organizing the Open Air Dance Festival Alcatrazz (www.alcatrazz.com) For this event he produced the Anthem Alcatrazz, again a big succes.Ron van den Beuken is now producing music of several styles, because of his study at the conservatorium of
Maastricht Ron is asked to do many productions. He produced the Erik-E mix of King Amir Samirs Theme, and also he did the Superstar Dj projects like "Meet her at the Loveparade" and "Resurrection by PPK". In April this year his first solo album will be released titeled "Collected".In may and June 2008, Ron van den Beuken (who himself has been conductor for 12 years) is invited by the Royal Symphonic Orchestra LSO to do 5 concerts in Holland, which has never done before. Also a new Alcatrazzfesival the 7th of June 2008 will be organized by this multi talented musician, over 35 international Dj's are booked, live acts from UK, 5 stages and over 6000 people will visit the event again. In his DJ schedule Ron travels around the whole world; from South Africa to Mexico to Poland. But in his own country Holland, his name as the top DJ has been set. He belong's to the top-3 of the World's best producers. His ranking on the DJ list is making him famous now throughout the whole world. (source needed for this)
