Jay Meetze (born August 2, 1973, Flint, Michigan) is an American conductor. Before receiving his MM in orchestral conducting at the
College-Conservatory of Music ,University of Cincinnati , he studied atMichigan State University andMott Community College . His conducting lessons were underGustav Meier ,Peter Oundjian andGerhard Samuel . He made his professional debut in 1992 and has conducted opera and orchestral performances across the country. Since foundingOpera Company of Brooklyn, (OCB) in 2000 and leading as the Principal Conductor and Artistic Director, the international profile of the opera company was developed.
