Springfield College (Illinois)

Springfield College or Springfield College in Illinois (SCI) is a college in Springfield. The school was founded in 1929 by the Ursuline Sisters. The school remained an associate's degree granting institution until it entered into a partnership with Benedictine University in January 2003.Ellersten, Peter. The partnership with Benedictine University resulted in SCI awarding its first bachelor's degrees and is the first step in a general merger of the two institutions per the guidelines of the Illinois Board of Higher Education and the U.S. Department of Education.
