Hilleberg is a Swedish
tent -making company founded in1973 by a husband and wife team, Bo & Renate Hilleberg. Control of the company has since passed to their children Rolf & Petra Hilleberg. Their son Rolf Hilleberg manages the European division from Sweden while their daughter Petra Hilleberg heads up the American division fromSeattle, Washington . Its products are well known for their use on expeditions to harsh locations such asAntarctica .Hilleberg manufactures tents of various designs and sizes, but their production is focused on specialist lightweight tents at the premium end of the market. Hilleberg's tent line is dominated by twin-skin designs that erect flysheet and inner-tent simultaneously, a feature that was introduced in their first model, the Keb. Their products have a reputation for excellent quality, durability and design, albeit matched with appropriately high prices.Their most well-known tents are the
