Saǥai Muittalægje

Saǥai Muittalægje

"Saǥai Muittalægje" (The News Reporter) was a Sámi newspaper that was published from 1904 to 1911, for a total of 33 issues. The newspaper was founded by Anders Larsen. Sagai Muittalægje is famous for being where Isak Saba's The Song of the Sami People was first published on April 1, 1906 as a poem.

Isak Saba was the first Sámi politician to sit in the Norwegian Parliament, but the folding of Saǥai Muittalægje contributed to his failed re-election attempt in 1912.
