Scout Leader s inHong Kong . He is affectionately known as “Lo Chung” (老總) which means “Chief” in Cantonese. He has been aScout from early 1940s.Tse Ping Fui joined scouting as a
Boy Scout before the2nd World War when he was studying in the St. Paul’s College. He was aRover Scout at the eve of the 2nd World War. During the Defence of Hong Kong in 1941, he was adespatch rider of theBoy Scouts Dispatch Riders Corps . He retreated toChina after the fall of Hong Kong and continued the Resistance War as a Liaison Officer and Interpreter of the Chinese Army of the 7th War Zone with the rank of an Army Major.Tse returned to Hong Kong and resumed his scouting after the 2nd World War. He was warranted as
Assistant Scoutmaster of 10th Hong Kong Group of hisala mater – St. Paul’s College in 1946. He became aDistrict Commissioner in 1955 andArea Commissioner for theHong Kong Island ,Lantao Island andCheung Chau Island in 1961. He became theChief Camp Warden in 1971 until his retirement from active uniform duty in 1983.He is still an active
lay member and supporter of Scout Association of Hong Kong. He is still an Executive member of the Hong Kong Island Region Scout Executive Committee. In 2004 he was awarded with Long Service Medal with 4 stars signifying that by 2004 he has completed 55 years of active, faithful and loyal service as adult leader of the Scout Association of Hong Kong.ee also
