Henbury School is a state secondary school in Henbury, Bristol, England. The school opened in 1956. In 2005, the school was rebuilt under a Private Finance Initiative with [http://www.hbgc.co.uk/ HBG] . Recently Henbury School has achieved Art College status this means that the Government will give more money to Henbury School to help Art students in their studies. In years 7-9 students have to do a newly introduced subject called Learn to learn. This subject was only introduced in the year 2006 one year after the school moved into the new building. The uniform is a navy blue logoed sweatshirt and white logoed polo-shirt bwhich can only be purchased at the school. The uniform also consists of black shoes NO BACKLESS HEELS OR FLATS OR TRAINERS! Also black trousers must be worn or knee lengthed skirts. There is also a separate Physical Education uniform which is a sky blue logoed polo-shirt and black/navy sport trousers with trainers.

In 2007, the PDA project was introduced. Every year 10, who is well-behaved, gets an Ameo PDA to aid their learning. The PDAs have an inbuilt mobile phone and it is a computer. Each year the standard of PDA gets better. Also, each year a different faculty gets to specialise in the PDA. The students use the PDAs for research and coursework. This year it is mostly English, last year it was Science. The PDAs are payed in instalments £10 a month or all the money in one. The PDAs are property of Henbury School until the students complete year 11.
