- The Lifted Brow
The Lifted Brow is a literary journal in circulation in
Brisbane ,Melbourne andSydney ,Australia .Published biannually, the journal contains fiction, non-fiction, "pretend non-fiction", poetry, line art, comics, interviews, photo portfolios and miscellany (such as knitting patterns). Launched on January 19 2007, the journal was founded by Ronnie Scott with the assistance of members of Brisbane's young writers community.
In 2007, The Lifted Brow is also a series of live events in Brisbane, combining bands, readings, and exhibitions, with a second issue planned for September.

Designed by Liberty Browne to look like a literary journal from the past, The Lifted Brow was launched at The Troubadour by musical acts Ambitious Lovers, Shakes, Marlinchen, and Blendher. This was Ambitious Lovers's first headlining show, and Marlinchen's last show ever. Ambitious Lovers's
Joel Saunders has continued to work with The Lifted Brow.Featured authors of fiction included Anna Pearson,
