The Tailevu/Naitasiri Football Association was formed in 1943, under the presidency of G.S. Deo, when some local clubs split from Rewa to form their own association. Tailevu/Naitasiri F.C. performed well in the
1945 IDC, when it was only narrowly drefeated by Suva by 3 goals to 2.In 1974, Tailevu/Naitasiri F.C., was promoted to the first division and showed that it it deserved its position in the first division by reaching the final of the IDC.
