Paris International Agricultural Show
- Paris International Agricultural Show
Paris International Agricultural Show is one of the world’s largest and most important agricultural shows, drawing larger crowds than any other exposition in Paris except the Foire de Paris. This annual fair takes place end of February or beginning of March at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, France. This event was first held in 1870 [Durieux, Joseph; "Le Ministre Pierre Magne, 1806-1879 : d'apres ses lettres et ses souvenirs"; Paris : H. Champion, 1929. OCLC|2514372] as the "Concours général agricole", its name changed in 1964 [Roux, René ; "1er salon international de l'agriculture, 73e Concours général agricole, Parc des Expositions, 9 au 15 mars, Paris, 1964"; Paris : Ministère de l'Agriculture, 1964. OCLC|65022624] , but the "Concours" still exists and is one of the main attractions of the fair.
