Niigata Manga Taisyo

Niigata Manga Taisho (にいがたマンガ大賞, Niigata Manga Competition) is a Manga contest held in Niigata City. It is chiefly held by the Niigata Manga Taisho planning committee and Niigata City's sponsoring.

The antecedent came to be held as "Niigata Manga Taisho" in 1998 because this contest was popular in "Niigata-shi Manga contest" that had been held in 1997. It is a manga contest in not only Japan but also the world by sponsoring of an unusual municipality.
