Dario Gradi 's Crewe Alexandra. He remained atGresty Road for five years, clocking up almost a century of league appearances, before joining Scunthorpe United in 1996, where he had been on loan the previous season.In February 1997, he was signed by
Nigel Worthington at Blackpool, and he was club's top scorer the following season. He remained atBloomfield Road for five years, winning promotion with the Seasiders underSteve McMahon in the 2000-01 Division Three play-offs.After a short loan stint at Bury in 2002, Clarkson joined Halifax Town.
Clarkson joined Lancaster City in the summer of 2003 and finished his career with them, retiring on
