The Ventoux is a very economic engine designed by
Renault for theRenault 4CV car and lately improved for theRenault Dauphine .Willys-Overland do Brasil produced this engine on
Brazil along with many cars it also licensed fromRenault , from 1959 until 1967 when Ford bought the company.Ford continued the production of this engine until 1983, using it on the
Ford Corcel (a derivation from theRenault 12 ). Later that year this engine spawned an unexpected sequel, named CHT - an improved design by Ford do Brasil.On other hand, on
Europe ,Renault continued improving this engine, resulting on the also economic and reliableRenault Cléon engine .
