4 February ,2008 ,Virgin Blue commenced direct scheduled services betweenSydney andPort Macquarie . The flights operate daily in the morning. The service is conducted by anEmbraer ERJ170 aircraft, and is the first scheduled jet service for the airport. Connections are offered to all major Australian cities viaSydney . An increase to twice-daily service has been announced effective4 August ,2008 .
