Našinski

Našinski

Našinski, meaning "our (language)", or Goranian is a South Slavic idiom, more specifically a Torlakian dialect spoken by the Gorani people, in southern Kosovo, Albania and the Republic of Macedonia.

In the 1991 Yugoslav census, 54.8% of the inhabitants of the Gora municipality said that they spoke the Goranian language, roughly in proportion to the number who considered themselves ethnic Gorani. A little less than half the inhabitants of Gora declared that they spoke the Serbian language. [ [http://www.rastko.org.yu/rastko-gora/zbornici/gora2000/rmladenovic.pdf Goran speech by dr. In 2007, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences sponsored and printed the first Našinski-Albanian dictionary (with 43,000 words and phrases). It's author, Nazif Dokle considers the language "a Bulgarian dialect, similar to the Bulgarian dialects spoken in Northwest Macedonia".Dokle, Nazif. Reçnik Goransko (Nashinski) - Albanski, Sofia 2007, Peçatnica Naukini akademiji "Prof. Marin Drinov", s. 5, 11, 19 (Nazif Dokle. Goranian (Nashinski) - Albanian Dictionary, Sofia 2007, Published by Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, p. 5, 11, 19) ] Našinski is also considered a dialect of the Macedonian language in Macedonian dialectology. The overwhelming majority of Gorani, however, tend to regard their speech as an independent language.
