- Stubaital
The Stubaital is an alpine valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The
Ruetz river flows through the valley.This 40-km long valley runs southwest from
Schönberg im Stubaital . Up toFulpmes , the towns lie on both sides of the Ruetz, with Fulpmes connecting the Terassen to the soil of the valley. South ofNeustift , the valley branches to theUnterberg andOberberg valleys. TheÖBB operates from the 16-MW hydroelectric power plant located in Fulpmes.The cinema in Fulpmes still uses the oldest film projector in Austria.
The municipalities in the valley include Schönberg,
Mieders ,Telfes ,Fulpmes and Neustift. Public transportation fromInnsbruck into the valley is available via the Stubaital bus route or theStubaitalbahn .
