Kristie Lu Stout (born December 7, 1974) is an American journalist and news anchor for CNN International.

Biography

Stout graduated from Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California, where she was a founding member of the Lynbrook Speech and Debate Club (LSD), and worked as a model in her teens.cite web|url=http://www.stanfordalumni.org/news/magazine/2007/sepoct/classnotes/stout.html|title=The Frequent Flyers' Friend|work=Stanford Magazine|accessdate=2008-08-07] She received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in media studies from Stanford University. As of 2007, Stout is the host of CNN's monthly program "Global Office", and co-hosts the daily "CNN Today" with Hugh Riminton, which earned her a 2006 Asian Television Award as Best News Presenter or Anchor.cite web |url=http://www.asiantvawards.com/ata2006winners.html |title=Asian Television Awards 2006 Winners |accessdate=2007-09-06] Stout previously hosted CNN's technology program "Spark" and their daily "Tech Watch" segment, wrote the "Beijing Byte" column for the "South China Morning Post", was an editorial staffer at "Wired.com" and a founding member of Sohu.

Stout lives in Hong Kong and is married to attorney Seung Chong.
