Vivian Della Chiesa was a
soprano .She debuted with the
Chicago Civic Opera in 1936 and performed for many memorable radio performances of great operatic and choral works, many withArturo Toscanini . Their recording ofBrahms ' "German Requiem " has been re-released on Compact Disc. In 1947, the soprano sang Maddalena in Giordano's "Andrea Chénier " at theNew York City Opera . She later served as a television talk show host in Cincinnati in the 1960's.Partial discography
