David William Mead

David William Mead

David William Mead (born in Leytonstone in 1941) is a former English professional footballer.

Mead played for several local clubs, most notable Tottenham Hotspur schoolboys before moving to Leytonstone and then was signed by Leyton Orient in 1958. After being released in 1962, Mead stayed in the local area with Tooting until moving to Essex in the early 1970s.

Mead finished his football career with non-league Clacton Town in the mid 1970s, and has worked as a youth coach for several clubs prior to retirement.

Mead now lives in Colchester.
