Allan La Fontaine

Allan La Fontaine was an Australian rules footballer in the (then) Victorian Football League.

Born in France, La Fontaine was recruited from University Blacks as a brilliant full-forward, he was to earn his fame playing with the Melbourne Football Club as a centreman. He was captain of Melbourne during their hat-trick of premierships in 1939, 1940 and 1941.

In 1996 La Fontaine was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
