Zimbabwe Tribesmen are a Death metal band with Instrumental, Thrash and Funk influences, formed in Zimbabwe in 2006.

Biography

The band was started by Abidemi Ambo as a project with his best friends, Kgosi Naisoh and Jengo Afriakaani. Afolabi Bastiaans later joined but left in 2007, where Shekwan Farrakhan took his place as a drum machine operator [http://myspace.com/zimbabwetribesmen] They are notable for avoiding usual musical rules, and generally creating most of their music as a result of a jam session [http://myspace.com/zimbabwetribesmen] . All four members are from Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Tribesmen are not known for playing live, and have been known to try to hide their faces.

Their first album was a released on February 22, 2007, which was solely distributed by the internet. It was entitled "Zimbabwe Tribesmen (Reload That Pistol, Son)".

A new album has been confirmed in an interview with Abidemi Ambo.

The new album, on July 11th 2007, was confirmed to be called "Optimum Discharge", and a demo of a new song has been released on the MySpace page.

Zimbabwe Tribesmen frontman Abidemi Ambo reported that this demo would contain vocals in the final version, showing a distinct change from their past instrumental history.
