James E. "Jimmy" Collins (born Birth date|1946|11|24) is a retired American basketball player and current coach. He was born and raised in Syracuse, New York, where he attended Corcoran High School. Collins has been the head coach of the men's basketball team at the University of Illinois at Chicago since 1996.
