Reticulum (anatomy)

:"This article is about an anatomical part."

The reticulum is the second chamber in the alimentary canal of a ruminant animal. Anatomically it is considered the smaller half of the reticulorumen along with the rumen.

The reticulum is colloqially referred to as the "honeycomb". It is also known as the bonnet [http://www.chambersharrap.co.uk/chambers/index.shtml The Chambers Dictionary, Ninth Edition, Chambers Harrap Publishers, 2003] ] and as the kings-hood.
