Francis Harrington Glidden

Francis Harrington Glidden (May 24, 1832 –1922), along with Levi Brackett and Thomas Bolles, started the Glidden Company. He built the Glidden mansion in Lakewood, Ohio on Lake Road. It is a grand stucco mansion with fifteen room and six fireplaces. In 1917 Francis Glidden retired and sold the business to Adrian D. Joyce. Glidden was buried in Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
