The Bouctouche, New Brunswick Tornado was a tornado that struck the town of
Bouctouche, New Brunswick onAugust 6 ,1879 .It is estimated that the tornado was an F3 in strength, and is the easternmost "major" tornado in
North America , though weaker tornadoes andwaterspout s have been known to form inPrince Edward Island andNova Scotia .The tornado killed 5 people, injured 10 others, and rendered 25 families homeless.
