The Purple-edged Copper ("Palaeochrysophanus hippothoe") is a butterfly of the family Lycaenidae.

* Length of male: 16–17 mm.
* Period of flight: June–July, one generation, range around 1500 m.
* Plants favoured: "Rumex" spp. and "Polygonum bistorta".
* Home: Western Europe around the region of the river Amur.
