Turner Ward

Turner Max Ward (born April 11, 1965 in Orlando, Florida), is a former professional baseball player who played outfielder in the Major Leagues from 1990-2001.

Career

As a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1998, Ward broke through the right field wall at Three Rivers Stadium while chasing a fly ball. Along with Rick Crawford, John Mitchell, and Joe Whitt, Ward was inducted into the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. In 2007, he managed a Pirates' minor league affiliate, the State College Spikes, in the New York-Penn League.

He will coach the Mobile Baybears, a AA team, in 2008.
